I remember drawing this during a course, when everyone was talking about pretty and neat theories about theology and God. I did the outline first, just kind of doodling about how odd that conversation felt–like there was a whole messy world underneath this pretty suburban house.
This piece is just a doodle that I did in my notebook during class. I like it a lot, actually, and it’s a template for a thank you card which is for sale on Zazzle.

This one is quite simple. Welcome to Chicago. I’m playing with the El system, a bit of melancholy and a few colors that I use very rarely.
Now that I’m in school again, I often feel like there’s something wild and uncontrollable that can’t get out.
I am particularly interested in this idea of a crown growing out of someone’s head. This grew from that idea, and it is the second time I have tried to portray it.

When I left Korea, I drew a number of pictures for close friends. This image incorporates the word “Salda” in Korean, which is the verb for “to live.” It also incorporates Korean temple painting designs, a waterfall, and a butterfly.
